Papaya’s next acceleration theme will be Mobile B2B. With this theme, the accelerator hopes to find solutions for a market that so far has been little explored by mobile solutions: the corporate market.

It is not news to anyone that mobile technology is a strong trend in the world market, but when it comes to B2B (business-to-business) applications, it is still difficult to find good offerings for what is a large customer segment that is thirsty for improvements to current systems. Most companies are still confronted with applications that have stopped in time, with very poor usability and interfaces, hardly taking advantage of the capacity of startups to create fantastic experiences through design and simplicity.

Two other interesting points are that (i) companies that focus on the corporate segment benefit from the “revenue-first” model, so they can charge for their product early in the sale of their products and services; and that (ii) in terms of exit strategy, investors do not need to rely solely on IPOs, because the possibility of acquisition by larger companies that want to incorporate the technology in their offerings is much larger.
