O número de projetos enviados ao Start-Up Brasil surpreendeu. Foram um total de 908 inscrições, sendo 672 de projetos brasileiros e 236 de estrangeiros. São Paulo (31,50%), Minas Gerais (14%) e Rio de Janeiro (13,20%) foram os estados brasileiros com maior número de inscritos.
Os 236 projetos estrangeiros, juntos, representaram 25,99% das inscrições e foram enviados por empreendedores residentes em 37 países diferentes. Destes, o país com maior número de inscritos foi os Estados Unidos (31%), seguido de Argentina (11%) e Chile (8%).
Os julgadores estão trabalhando na avaliação e pontuação dos projetos. São representantes indicados pelo MCTI, incluindo representantes da academia, do governo e diversos profissionais do mercado, especialmente investidores.
Representantes das nove aceleradoras credenciadas ao programa (e que deverão acelerar os projetos aprovados no Start-Up Brasil) também estão avaliando os projetos. Haverá ainda uma reunião para conferência e desempate das avaliações e então o resultado será divulgado primeiramente no Diário Oficial, depois aqui no blog (e nos canais) do Start-Up Brasil. The number of applications for Start-Up Brasil was surprising. There were a total of 908 entries, out of which 672 were Brazilian projects and 236 were from abroad. São Paulo (31.50%), Minas Gerais (14%) and Rio de Janeiro (13.20%) were the Brazilian States with the highest number of subscribers.
The 236 foreign projects accounted for 25.99% of the total entries and were sent by entrepreneurs living in 37 different countries. From that pool, the country with the largest number of members was the United States (31%), followed by Argentina (11%) and Chile (8%).
The judges are working in the evaluation and scoring of the projects. They have been appointed by the Government, and are representatives from academia, government and several market professionals, especially investors.
Representatives of the nine program accredited accelerators (and the ones that shall speed up the projects approved at Start-Up Brasil) are also evaluating the projects. There will be a meeting for checking and tie evaluations and then the results will be released first in the Diário Oficial (the official newspaper), then here on the blog and on the Start-Up Brasil channels. This is expected to happen in the next few weeks, more precisely in the second half of this month.
